If you died right now, where would you spend eternity?

Jesus loves you and wants to have a relationship with you. Knowing Him will help you find the completeness you are searching for in life. In the Bible, Jesus says,

"I came that they might have life and have it abundantly."

John 10:10.

Everyone has the freedom to receive Jesus or you may freely reject Him and pursue another plan.

The Bible says that since the first man, Adam, people have chosen to reject Jesus.

"For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."

Romans 3:23.

The Bible also says that our sin against God separates us forever from Him:

"For the wages of sin is death."

Romans 6:23 (see also Matthew 25:41).

Even with your best efforts, you cannot get back into a right relationship with God. However,

Jesus can restore the relationship for you:

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God,

not as a result of works that no one should boast."

Ephesians 2:8-9.

To have this relationship, the penalty for the world's sin needed to first be payed. So God sent

His perfect, sinless Son, Jesus, to earth for the purpose of dying for you. The Bible says:

"For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin."

Hebrew 9:22.

This demonstrated the depth of God's great love for you and His wanting eternal fellowship

with you - not eternal separation:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believeth in Him

would not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16.

If Jesus had not risen from the dead, you would still be sentenced to an eternal destination in Hell. (Acts 2:31, Matthew 25:41). Because of His resurrection, you are no longer separated from God by your sin, but can enjoy a restored relationship with Him. Confess your belief in Him and your sins before Him. (Romans 10:9, 1John 1:9) God has the power to forgive your sins and to forget them:

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

1 John 1:9

"I will remember your sins no more."

Hebrews 8:12

If you decide to receive Him into your life, you will become a child of His: The choice is yours

"For as many as received Him, to them He gave the power to become children of God."

John 1:12

However, you have the freedom to say no to this, because God doesn't want to force anything upon anyone. The invitation is there for you to consider. Jesus says,

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into his life."

Revelation 3:20

If this is something that you would like to do now, you could say a simple prayer to God right now like this:

"Jesus, you and I both know that I am a sinner. I am sorry for my sin and want to change. Please forgive me for all my sins. I open the door of my heart to You and Your love for me. Thanks for sending Jesus to die in my place and for giving me a new life. I receive You into my life. Please help me to be the kind of person who honors You and lives for You each day. Amen."
